ontosoroh
A quiet force, written in thread.
The weave is soft but exacting, a handwoven linen-cotton blend with slight irregularity that gives the surface life. Plum and lilac tones are overdyed, creating a color that feels at once floral and ink-like.
Named for the central figure in Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s Buru Quartet, Ontosoroh constructs herself through intellect and will, outside the structures that deny her legitimacy.
The cloth carries that condition: cultivated, composed, entirely self-made.
