IBRIHIM

A structure built through alignment.

The warp is printed using three separate screens, each layer positioned by hand to maintain the integrity of the design. After printing, the cloth is left to dry under open air before being cured, fixing the pattern into the fiber.

The weaving moves slowly — no more than a few meters each day — each pass requiring precise  alignment between warp and weft to sustain the clarity of the pattern.

Named for Ibrahim Datuk Tan Malaka, the cloth carries a condition of thought shaped through discipline and resistance.
